Beatseeker

BeatSeeker is a Max for Live device that dynamically sets Ableton Live’s tempo by listening to a rhythmic audio source. This allows a drummer to play along with a Live Set while BeatSeeker adapts Live’s tempo to match what it hears as they play, making performance more expressive. I worked with Andrew Robertson to design an interface for the device, which indicates different following modes, audio input and tempo status and is visible from a distance.
