Emotion of the Internet
My submission for the 2012 International Society of Typographic Designer’s Student Brief explored the emotional landscape of the internet. I collected data from Twitter based on emotive keywords like love, hate, happy and sad, and used this to visualise how emotion is expressed online over the course of a month. Using CSS animations and HTML5 audio, I developed an interactive typographic mini-site that uses animation and sound to bring the data to life.
